  CHILDREN'S BAPTISM

  • Sacrament of Baptism is administered on last Friday of every month at 6:00 pm
  • Baptism seminar is conducted on first Friday of every month at 6:00 to 7:00 pm

  In order for a child to be baptized :

  1. Parents should be registered members of the parish.
  2. Parents and godparents should attend a Baptism seminar. 
  3. Parents should meet the Parish Priest in person.
  4. Parents should book the Baptism ceremony in the parish office at any time after attending the Seminar. They should submit the documents listed below and once completed, the date of Baptism can be arranged. 

  
  REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM

  • Baptism Registration Form
  • Photocopy/ Scan of the parents Church Marriage Certificate .If not married in the church, must speak with a priest after the Baptism Seminar. Families should not plan for the baptism until they have spoken with the priest. 
  • Baptism Seminar Certificate for parents and godparents who have not attended Baptism Seminar at St. John the Baptist Chucrh
  • Photocopy/Scan of Confirmation certificates for Godfather and Godmother (Church Marriage Certificate is accepted)
  • Those coming from other parishes require a 'no objection' letter from their parish priest.
  • Photocopy/ Scan of Birth Certificate of the child.
  • Photocopy / Scan of Passport copy of the Child
  • Photocopy / Scan of Passport copy of Parents (front and back must be on 1 page).

  • All required documents can be submitted to the parish office in hard copy, or sent by email to [email protected] Please send all required documents in a single email with subject "Baptism of (name of child)".
  • Please note:
  • Parents not living in Al Dhannah City (St. John the Baptist Church) also require a 'no objection'/permission letter from their parish priest
    • Godparents (One Male & One Female) must be baptized and confirmed Catholics and there must be at least one Godparent
